WOW!! I was lucky enough to attend a Helen Godden workshop over the weekend. She calles it the
Quirky Still-Life with Picasso class.

Here are 2 of her wonderful quilts she has made in the 6 years she has been a quilter.

And here is Helen herself

This is my first sketch of the wall hanging that I began making in my class with Helen.

here it is after painting....it is no where near finished, so watch this space...

Here Helen shows us the fine art of fabric painting

Happy Birthday Miss Chelsea and Princess Mia

I am very slow at getting these photos up of my 2 granddaughters having their first birthdays. Miss Chelsea turned a big 1 on July 13th and Princess Mia turned a big 1 on Aug 15th. I made Mia's birthday banner and put a plastic pocket between the words happy and birthday, so her mother can change the number each year she has a birthday and the banner can be used until it is not "cool" to do so any more. I also added one candle to the banner and each year I will add another candle until Mia decides that's not cool any more too. They have both grown and changed so much over the last 12 months and it is hard to believe they are 1 already.
